2. Permissions and Their Purpose

Vitren only requests permissions that are strictly necessary to provide its core communication features.

2.1 Camera (android.permission.CAMERA)

Used exclusively for:

  • Video call functionality

The camera is activated only during an active user-initiated video call.

Vitren does not access the camera in the background without user interaction.

2.2 Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO)

Used exclusively for:

  • Voice communication during calls

Audio is transmitted in real time during active calls and is not recorded or stored by Vitren.

2.3 Phone Call Related Permissions

Vitren may use:

  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE_PHONE_CALL

  • MANAGE_OWN_CALLS

These permissions are used solely to:

  • Enable in-app VoIP calling functionality

  • Maintain stable call sessions

  • Display incoming call interface

Vitren does not access cellular call logs or traditional phone call data.

2.4 Overlay Permission (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)

Vitren may request permission to display content over other apps strictly for:

  • Displaying incoming call screen

  • Ensuring users can answer calls promptly

This feature is limited to communication purposes only and is never used for advertising or deceptive behavior.

Users can disable this permission at any time via Android Settings.

2.5 Do Not Disturb Access (ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY)

If granted by the user, this permission allows Vitren to:

  • Notify users of important incoming calls according to system rules

Vitren does not modify system settings without explicit user interaction.

2.6 Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)

Used to:

  • Ensure reliable delivery of time-sensitive communication events (such as call notifications)

Vitren does not use exact alarms for advertising, tracking, or background data collection.

2.7 Foreground Services & Wake Lock

Permissions used:

  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE

  • WAKE_LOCK

Purpose:

  • Maintain active communication sessions

  • Prevent call interruption during use

These services run only when required for active features.

2.8 Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Used to:

  • Inform users about incoming calls

  • Provide essential service-related notifications

Vitren does not send marketing or promotional push notifications without user consent.

2.9 Bluetooth (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT)

Used only to:

  • Route audio during calls to connected Bluetooth devices (headsets, speakers)

3. Data Usage

Vitren uses collected information strictly for:

  • User authentication

  • Establishing and maintaining communication sessions

  • Service reliability and performance improvement

  • Security monitoring and fraud prevention

We do not:

  • Sell user data

  • Use personal data for behavioral advertising

  • Share personal data with third-party marketers

4. Communication Security

Vitren uses industry-standard encryption technologies for real-time communication.

  • Audio and video calls are transmitted securely.

  • Vitren does not store call recordings.

  • We do not monitor private conversations.

5. Data Retention

We retain user data only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide services

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes

  • Enforce agreements

Users may request account deletion at any time.

6. Data Sharing

We may share limited data only when:
